Of all the things I learnt at Atlantic Aviation Group Training Academy, the one important point that everyone made clear was that being an Aircraft Engineer is no joke, because we are dealing with the safety of hundreds of people on board that aircraft. This training could be described as a fantastic way to combine the physical skills of aircraft maintenance with the theoretical side. The instructors are truly excellent and have vast experience in aviation. They tried their best to impart all their knowledge to the students with open minds. The instructors would go far beyond their job description to ensure the individual needs of students are met and that training is progressive. During my time on the programme, I have been fortunate to work with a group of really knowledgeable people and build a career that I find really interesting and enjoyable. As a trainee, I was given tasks along with fellow students and worked together to complete those tasks like a normal employee. I have gained a great deal of confidence from putting theory into practice straightaway. Ireland is a beautiful country with breath-taking sceneries and lovely beaches. The friendliness and hospitality for which the Irish people are renowned contributes to the ease with which overseas students adapt to the way of life.
